The Rise of "Protective Aesthetics" in Office Spaces in 2025: Hythtone's Helmet Chair Secures International Orders with Its Color and Material
According to the latest report of the 2025 Milan International Furniture Fair, the design concept of "protective aesthetics" in the post-pandemic era continues to gain momentum, and the demand for office furniture that combines a sense of security and design has surged. Chinese suppliers, with their dyeing process for linen velvet fabric and innovation in ABS structure, have become key partners for European and American hotel purchasers.
Hythtone's iconic helmet chair series has become popular as the situation demands. Its unique design language aligns with two major international trends: the one-piece PP shell and high-density sponge form a "visual protective layer", and the curved backrest simulates the streamline of a helmet, meeting the psychological need of the Generation Z for the "visualization of a sense of security". By using the linen velvet fabric certified in Italy, it mixes annual colors such as terracotta powder and mint green with metal legs, solving the problem of the "cold and hard feeling" in office spaces.
The development of the electrostatic flocking technology enables the linen velvet fabric to achieve a 3D color gradation; the ABS inner liner is embedded in the aluminum alloy frame, and while the load-bearing capacity is increased by 40%, it still maintains a natural swing of 8° that conforms to ergonomics. Currently, two configurations of this series are highly sought after: the fully upholstered model with aluminum alloy wheels, which is suitable for the rapid restructuring needs of shared office spaces; and the model with bent wood legs in terracotta powder, which is in line with the retro trend of boutique hotels in Southeast Asia.
"This is not a simple innovation in shape," pointed out the Chief Product Officer of Hythtone. "We counteract the oppressive feeling brought by the protective shape through the 15° forward tilt design of the cushion, which requires precise calculation of the density gradient of the sponge - and this is exactly the implicit value that international buyers are concerned about."
