National Furniture Exports Decline 8.4% in May, with Hythtone Furniture Sustaining Overseas Market via Differentiated Layout

According to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs, the export value of national furniture and parts in May 2025 dropped 8.4% year-on-year, continuing the fluctuating trend of the foreign trade market since the start of this year. As a leading enterprise focusing on exports of office and hotel furniture, Hythtone Furniture analyzed that the current decline is mainly influenced by factors such as global procurement cycle adjustments, intensified competition in Southeast Asia, and inventory digestion in Europe and America. However, structural opportunities still exist in the mid-to-high-end Commercial Furniture market.

The recovery of the European and American retail markets has been weak, with some importers postponing summer orders. International logistics costs increased by 12% compared to Q1 (data from the Shanghai Shipping Exchange), squeezing export profits. Emerging production hubs like Vietnam have significantly diverted low-to-medium-end orders.

According to forecasts by Furniture Today analysts, the global commercial furniture market size is expected to maintain a moderate 4.1% growth in 2025.
